- What does one licence cover?
- One machine, every surface on it. The same key unlocks the desktop app for macOS and the browser extension, so you are not buying them separately.
- Can I try Velum before paying?
- Yes. The browser extension masks text for free with no key, no account and no time limit. The desktop app runs a 7-day trial with no key and no account.
- What happens when the licence lapses?
- Unmasking is never gated. You can always restore data you have already masked, even after a licence ends, so nothing you produced with Velum becomes unreadable.
- Why is the price shown in my currency?
- Paddle is the merchant of record and sets local currency and any tax from your location. The listed price is the base annual price before that conversion.
- How do refunds work?
- Contact us within 14 days of purchase for a full refund, which also ends the licence issued for that payment. After 14 days you can still cancel to stop renewals.
- Do you offer free licences?
- Students, educators, academics, independent researchers and non-profits can apply for a free licence. Personal and noncommercial use of the engine is free under PolyForm Noncommercial 1.0.0.
